1 SITUATION

1.1 Overview

26 hours ago we picked up a radio signal at the overrun "Hostile Mike" outpost. It was about 2 months ago that we lost it to the reds...lot´s of good boys perished that day. God had no mercy for them. Anyway, the signal was from Lieutenant Howard Brooke, 79th Rangers. He got captured on that bloody day, put into a camp to the south since and crawled his tortured limbs all the way up to Mike. He say that 6 other guys are still alive in the camp we call "Fanny´s Rest".

Load up, let´s go get them.

1.2 Area of operations

North and central Island of Guam.

1.4 Air threats

MiG-15, MiG-19

No active runways on Guam, but there are smaller fields south of it. The reds pop in from time to time to envy our Phantoms.

1.5 Ground threats

Captured Bofors 40mm, ZU-23, S-60, SA-9, SA-2, RPG, 7.62 - 12.7mm

Bunch of outposts are scattered across the island, most of them are our old ones we abandoned and the reds moved in instead. Few grunts walking around those, mostly for spotting air activities. Still, if you fly too low and slow - they will put holes in you.

And at Fanny´s Rest, there´s a bunch of 40mm. Ha, Chimney got way too close on the recon given this mission. Got a hole bigger than Elvis himself in one of his wing. Lucky bastard got home too, with nice maps, photos and all.

Bigger guns you´ll find at Camp Eyelash and Camp To-Moh. Sa-9 and 57mm will fuck you up. Nah, we try to avoid those places if we can. 

The main red holdout is Camp Fishnet. There´s a juicy SA-2 protecting the whole island, 57mm and 23mm barrels. Check out the map, Chimney marked it.

1.6 Friendly forces

Nah man, we are the only blue forces in the AO. Generally, we´re packing up, going home. Shitloads of people moved out already. Dunno when we go home though, hopefully not in one of those boxes. Oh well, we´ll see.

2 MISSION

• Pick up Howard Brooke at Hostile Mike.
• Pick up survivors at Fanny´s Rest.

3 EXECUTION

3.1 Commander’s intent

All 7 survivors are brought back safe to Rota including the pilots going for them.

3.2 Packages

3.3 Order of events

The mission will occur in 5 phases

1. Apex1/Merlin4 engages whatever red air is already on station, giving the strike package some peace and quiet.
2. Zippy8 works Camp Fishnet — SA-2 first, then surrounding AAA. Report WALKOVER.
3. Banshee2 clears the path for Nitro5/yoda7 to, and around, Hostile Mike and Fanny's Rest — Banshee2 escorts Nitro5/Yoda7 once WALKOVER is confirmed. Report SMASH when Fanny's Rest is secure.
4. Nitro5/Yoda7 picks up Howard Brooke at Hostile Mike Outpost and survivors at Fanny's Rest. Report HOMEBOUND once all personnel are aboard and airborne.
5. Nitro5/Yoda7 and Banshee2 RTB to Rota. Apex1/Merlin4 and Zippy8 disengage and return home once no longer required on station.

Oh, almost forgot. Now, Rota is an old WW2 field that basically never got freshen up. The runway is as short as Johnny´s pickle. So be a little mindful of your load if you wanna get off the island.
