1 SITUATION

1.1 Overview

It is the night of November 9th, 1989. East German officials have declared that the border  between East and West Berlin is open for passage. However, National People's Army Commanders have decided that they will have none of it. As the first GDR civilians rush through Checkpoint Charlie, the NPA opens fire. A small arms skirmish develops between NPA troops and NATO border guards. The residential blocks closest to Checkpoint Charlie come under siege and both sides are now screaming for reinforcements. Berlin goes from detente to flashpoint in a matter of minutes. 

Expect intense urban helicopter warfare and a daring F4 Phantom strike mission.
