Background:
In a fictional campaign during WW2 allied forces have recently established a small base on Guam. A detachment of RAF and USAF fighters are tasked with supporting offensive operations towards Rota and Tinian islands in the north. US and Japanese naval forces are maneuvering around the Mariana islands and a major naval engagement is expected soon.
Situation:
Allied intelligence reports that the Japanese are preparing substantial air raids towards Rota and Guam from Tinian/Saipan and carrier based aricraft starting at dawn. Our plan is to engage enemy fighers with our most capable fighters north of Rota, trying to draw them away from any bombers or heavily loaded attack aicraft. These will be engaged by our second line of defense over Rota. Also we need airframes off the ground to give the Japs fewer targets.
