1 SITUATION
1.1 Overview
Iran has threatened to conduct SCUD attacks with chemical weapons against civilian towns. NATO has decided to conduct a preemptive strike against SCUD locations and chemical weapons facilities.

1.4 Air threats
F-14B, Mi-24
F-14B have been reported. Expect main threat from closest enemy air bases, Bandar Abbas intl, Bandar Lengeh and Kish Intl. Intel estimates that the Iranian Air Force will have routine CAP over target area and can launch 4-8 fighters in short succession from bases.

Civilian air traffic is grounded.
2 MISSION
The Joint Force Air Component (JFAC) will conduct air strikes to destroy chemical plant facilities in order to deny Iranian forces to use SCUD capability with chemical weapons.
3 EXECUTION
3.1 Commander’s intent
Destroy all SCUD launchers and the two chemical plants located in the AO.
3.2 Packages
The mission contains 2 packages, callsign WOLFPACK (F/A-18 and F-16) and HAMMER (A-10, OH-58D, AH-64). AJS37 do not belong to any package.
3.3 Order of events
1. Neutralize the SAM-10 on Qeshm Island, then report SMASH.
2. Set up CAP
3. Meet up with bomber group 1 and 2, a 2 4-ship of B-52’s, south of Abu Musa Island and escort them to their target island in grid DQ49 and back.
4. A-10s, AJS37, OH-58D and AH-64s locate the scuds on Tunb Island and destroy them, then report DIRTPILE. Secondary objective, Clear the island from enemies.
