Prerequisites:
Good knowledge of the aircraft systems. At least one succesful CASE1 landing beforehand.
Case I departures and recoveries are utilized during daytime operations (day ops) when weather conditions are VMC. Case I weather requires the ceiling to be no lower than 3,000 feet and not less than 5 NM visibility.

The focus of this exercise will be on the overall CASE 1 procedure – not just getting high scores on the groove. For efficiency reasons, and since the landing procedure is much more challenging than the departure, we will be using airstarts.
All participants will be divided into flights and assigned a stack altitude before each round begins. Charlie time will be set to approximately 30 minutes after spawning in. All flights will start about 60 nautical miles from the boat.
Once you have spawned in, join up with your group, perform HAIL-R, and contact marshal. After that, proceed with CASE 1 as usual. Keep radio comms to a minimum – on tower frequency you should only transmit for ball calls and safety messages.
After landing, taxi away and park at a suitable spot. When everyone has landed, we will conduct a quick debrief and then restart everything (with new stack altitudes). We aim to complete at least two rounds during the evening.
