The Rebels have seized the oil fields west of Palmyra, which can give them great economic power. HQ has decided to act quickly in order to reduce the effect.
The target area consists mostly of flat desert with mountainous terrain directly to the north and a smaller ridge to the south of the area which will aid our approach towards the target.
East of the target area is the city of Palmyra with its airbase. Palmyra is currently one of the enemy’s biggest strongholds in the area and should be avoided as far as possible.
