TARGET PACKAGE CRUSADER

1.SITUATION
Ground forces have conducted invasion preparations and have now moved up to the border, ready to breach and assault into Syria on H-hour.
Ground situation as picture below:

Enemy
Enemy 7th armored division is dug in and defending the Syrian border from the border up to SHAHBAT.
The division is defending with 3 mech brigades at the front and the tank brigade in reserve.
This tank brigade is the 78th Armored Brigade and consists of 3 armored battalions and an artillery battalion. Tank battalions consist of T-55 and the artillery battalion of 2S1.
Integrated AA support in the brigade is ZSU-23 on the battalions and SA-13 to defend the artillery battalion. Besides that division has attached another pair of SA-13s to help defend the tank battalions.
External SAM defence is SA-6s located at DHUNAYAH – SHAHBA – KIRBAT AL UMBASHI.
The brigade is not dug in but is dispersed and masked with camo netting trying to avoid the US air superiority.

The brigade is the division’s reserve and will be thrown against the US 2nd Infantry division once the Syrian division commander finds a weak spot in the US assault.

Air
Package Ardent will conduct SEAD/DEAD against SAM sites and maintain CAP over AO.
Package Brutal will conduct low-level support to ground forces. Helicopters from the 3rd and 2nd Infantry are moving around over the battlefield but are staying south of your target areas as not to get in your line of fire and staying below 1500ft.

Friendly ground forces
3rd Infantry Division (3ID) is breaching the enemy forward line and destroys the Syrian 5th mechanized division during D+1 and assaults along the highway to  IZRA MGRS 37S BS 438400.
2nd Infantry Division (2ID) is breaching the enemy forward line and destroys the Syrian 7th mechanized division during D+1 and assaults north to AS SUWAYDA MGRS 37S BS 720220.
11th Armored Cavalry Regiment (11ACR) is screening east and securing the main forces’ eastern flank by tying down the 41st SOF Regiment.
The friendly ground unit in your target area is the 2nd Infantry Division “Indianhead” and is advancing from the border towards AS SUWAYDA but will stay south of your target area during your engagement.

Support
1 x Tomahawk cruise missile will destroy SA-6 in SHAHBA at H-hour in IOT enable hawg8s mission.
Package Ardent will conduct SEAD/DEAD against the other two SA-6s and SA-8 during the mission.

2. MISSION
Hawg8 is to destroy 78th armored brigade NLT H+3h in order to deny Syrian commanders a counter-attack force that can delay or halt US ground invasion.

3.EXECUTION
Endstate
The task has been successfully completed when 78th armored divisions tank battalions are destroyed or down under 50% total strength.

Orders
From H-hour to H+1.5 hours destroy enemy tank unit in TARGET AREA ARKANSAS. If able (time and aircraft depending) destroy enemy artillery unit in TARGET AREA OKLAHOMA. Landed at WUWAFFAQ SALTI NLT 0400 local.
Report CODEWORD NULLIFIED on CH:3 when ARKANSAS is destroyed.

4. LOGISTICS
You are clear to conduct as many trips back to MUWAFFAQ SALTI to fill up weapons and fuel as needed to complete tasking.
