0. Organization
2nd US infantry division consist of 3 brigades, 2nd,3rd and 4th Stryker brigades supported by 210th Field Artillery Brigade and 2 Combat Aviation Brigade.

Organization of 2CAB

Rage9 and Blackjack3 are units of 2 CAB – Combat Aviation Brigade belonging to US 2nd Infantry division “Indianhead”. 2 CAB are task organized per mission as needed to support their ground units.

1. SITUATION
The division has conducted invasion preparations and has now moved up to the border, ready to breach and assault into Syria on H-hour.The ground situation as picture below:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Enemy
Enemy 7th armored division is dug in and defending the Syrian border from the border up to SHAHBAT.
The division is defending with 3 mech brigades at the front and the tank brigade in reserve. The 7th armored division are equipped with T-55 and BMP-2 and 2S1.
The enemy are defending with classic soviet doctrine, from the border, PL BLACKFEET to PL CHEROKEE is a delay/disruption area with mostly recon and Anti tank assets intended to disrupt the enemies preparations against the main line.
Main defensive line is at PL CHEROKEE with the brigade battalions dug in at favorable positions with artillery and ADA integrated into their defence positions.
In the division’s rear area is the armored brigade in reserve prepared to be used against any weak spot or to counter a breakthrough.
Enemy AA assets in the brigade areas are Manpads, ZSU-23, SA-13 with manpads and ZSU-23 up in the front with SA-13 defending brigades, artillery and logistics assets further to the rear.

Friendly
3rd Infantry Division (3ID) is breaching the enemy forward line and destroys the Syrian 5th mechanized division during D+1 and assaults along the highway to IZRA MGRS 37S BS 438400.
2nd Infantry Division (2ID) is breaching the enemy forward line at PL BLACKFEET / MRS INDIANHEAD and destroys the Syrian 7th mechanized division during D+1 and assaults north to AS SUWAYDA MGRS 37S BS 720220.
11th Armored Cavalry Regiment (11ACR) is screening east and securing the main forces’ eastern flank by tying down the 41st SOF Regiment.
2nd Brigade “LANCER” will conduct a breach at H-hour at the intersection of PL BLACKFEET and MSR INDIANHEAD, secure the breach by assaulting up to PL CHEROKEE in order to enable 4th Brigade “RAIDER” to assault and breach the enemy main line at PL CHEROKEE and assault towards OBJ KANSAS.
3rd brigade “GHOST” are following behind 4th brigade ready to seize OBJ ALABAMA.

2CAB will support ground forces scheme of maneuver by destroying enemy ground forces ahead of 4th Brigade “RAIDER”.

Support
Detachment of A-10Cs from the Air Force will support division assault by destroying 7th armored divisions reserve, the 78th armored brigade at AS SUWAYDA.

2. MISSION
Rage9 and Blackjack3 are to destroy 3 BMP-2 companies located TARGET AREA PATTON in order to enable 4th brigade “RAIDER”s breach through main enemy lines. Prepared to conduct CCA if called upon.
RTB to 2CAB assembly area nlt H+2h.

3. EXECUTION
Endstate
Endstate is with enemy forces in TA PATTON destroyed or down to 50% enabling own ground forces to breach through TA PATTON and exploit north.

Orders
Rage9 and Blackjack3:
Take off when suitable to cross PL BLACKFEET no earlier then H+5min.
Continue to TA PATTON. Engage and destroy 3 BMP-2 companies at target TA PATTON. Prepared at all times to conduct CCA if needed.
Report codeword PENETRATED on TAD-G 0110 when enemy forces in TA PATTON are down to 50% or less. RTB to 2 CAB Assembly area NLT H+2h.

Coordination instructions
Do not cross PL SIOUX or move close to OBJ KANSAS in order to not disrupt friendly A-10s mission towards divisions reserve unit.
H-hour is 01.30 Local time.
Codeword for mission accomplished is PENETRATED
Stay within 2US ID borders to avoid fratricide.

4. LOGISTICS
FARP DALLAS will be active from H+30min to H+4hours at MGRS 37S BR 7100 7550 with fuel and ammunition as needed.

5. COMMAND & CONTROL
TALON-6 2CAB Ground liaison officer on divisions ALO-net TAD-G 0110.
TALON-6 has tactical control and authority over RAGE9 and BLACKJACK3.
Monitor Air Force CH:3 for situational awareness airside.

TARGET AREA PATTON location MGRS 37S BR 7200 9650.

TA PATTON is divided into three engagement areas, ALPHA – BRAVO – CHARLIE.
Each EA contains 1 mech coy of 9 BMP-2 and 1 ZSU-23 each.

 

Unit borders. Do NOT cross into 3rd ID or 11 ACRs area in order to avoid fratricide.
