Background:
In a fictional campaign during WW2 allied forces have recently established a small base on Guam. A detachment of RAF and USAF fighters are tasked with supporting offensive operations towards Rota island in the north. US and Japanese naval forces are maneuvering around the Mariana islands and a major naval engagement is expected soon.
Situation:
Allied intelligence reports that a large Japanese supply fleet is inbound for Tinian. In preparation of major allied attacks our Mosquitos dropped mines close to their expected landing point. The Japanese fleet reacted by slowing down and sending a few escort ships ahead, possibly for mine sweeping operations. Engage these ships and hinder their sweeping operations. The mined area is indicated on the map below. Be aware of enemy A/A concentrations close to Tinian aribase.
