Operation Shadowhawk – The Beginning

RSVP: 2024-02-15 – 19:30-23:00 (please sign-up asap though, as it makes things easier to plan)
Activity: Mission – CAP, SEAD, STRIKE, RECON, CSAR

Modules: F/A-18C, F-15E, AJS37, A-10C II, F-16, UH-1H (the 2 slots are signed up), M-2000C, AH-64D BLK.II,
Prerequisites: Basic aircraft knowledge, CASE 1, rookies are welcome to signup (as long as you have done your intro flight).

1 SITUATION

1.1 Overview

Georgien, has asked us to place troops and air assets on the ground because of a aggresive neighbour.
We have managed to send our top notch Carrier group, Abraham Lincoln to the area, and additional fligths to Kutaisi.
The Georgian ground forces has managed to setup a FARP at N 42°38’34” E 42° 8’43”, that we can use. The AH-64D and our CSAR’s Huey will use this FARP.

2 MISSION

Our air assets and our carrier group has just arrived to Georgien and it’s little caotic with intel.
But the Joint Force Air Component (JFAC) has decided that we will conduct air reconnaissance to locate ground forces and we need to destroy 3 bridges in Georgien to reduce the crossing points.
If the ROE are changing to C, we need to destroy the 6 bridges on the other side of the border.
JFAC has the coordinates for the 9 bridges, and one SAM-6 site, that is all.

3 EXECUTION

3.1 Commander’s intent

ROE: B
Do not cross the border.
Conduct air reconnaissance, locate enemy ground troops and report their position to Tactical.
Set up CAP AO, in the Georgien Air space to protect our A2G and ground troops.
Destroy the 3 bridges on Georgian territory.
Our CSAR Huey needs to be on alert, downed assets needs to be unloaded in the MASH area.

ROE: C
Destroy the 6 bridges on the enemy territory and engage all ground and air forces and the A-50 (red AWACS).

3.2 Packages

The mission contains 3 packages, callsign Smooth, PoundMe and SeeMeNow.

CAP/SEAD Package, Smooth contains of F/A-18C and F-16.
A2G Package PoundMe A-10 II, Ah-64.
RECON/STRIKE Package SeeMeNow, AJS37, F-15E, M-2000C.
We will also have 2 CSAR UH-1H on standby to do Search and Rescue.
