1 SITUATION

1.1 Overview

The Swedish Foreign Minister Margaretha af Ugglas’s helicopter has been shot down in Syria while she was on a diplomatic mission. Syria refuses to allow the USA or Sweden to assist and wants to handle this themselves. We are afraid that they might take her hostage to pressure the West to leave the region.

Damascus is covered by SAMs so we must not move to far from the area of engagement

1.6 Friendly forces

QRF is on the way to recovery the Foreign minister from the crash site and escort here to CG for extraction.
Group one: 4 x HMMWV, 2 x APC TPz Fuchs
Group two: 3 x HMMWV, 2 X IFV M2A2 Bradley

Group one will pass through Checkpoint CG and continue to crash site and group two will stop and set up perimeter in checkpoint CG

UN Troops around the border as a peacekeeping force.

2 MISSION

Set up a FOB at checkpoint CG and defend the area against all HOSTILE forces. Evacuate the foreign minister to Bosh Pina.

3 EXECUTION

3.1 Commander’s intent

We need to secure the crash site and Alpha1 and Bravo1 ASAP. Time is critical here—we need to move fast and lock down those positions before the Syrian government has a chance to rally their forces and engage us. Stay sharp, move with purpose, and be ready for anything.

* Set up CAP
* Clear zone Alpha 1 and Bravo 1 before MUSTANG4 arrives
* MUSTANG4 arrives and sets up FOB for helikopters to refuel.
* BLACKJACK will set upp and take control of Charlie as FAC-A.
* MUSTANG6 EVAC Package

If Syrian launches fighters we will destroy their Radar Command Station at Marj Ruhayyil to give us a larger space to operate
