1 SITUATION
1.1 Overview
The runways and taxiways at Bassel Al-Assad AFB have been put out of action for a long period of time by a previous strike mission from Masterarms. The Syrian air force have effectively been reduced to just a few afb in the north-east and around Damaskus. With Bassel Al-Assad out of action means that the Russians no longer are active in the region.

Syrian air force jets only operate out of Kuweires, Jirah, Tabqa and around the Damaskus area, but have been inactive for the last weeks. However, we have daily reports of low-level operation mostly by helicopters and some small transport aircraft in other parts of Syria.

2 MISSION
The Joint Force Air Component (JFAC) are tasked to help the opposition to gain control of Raqqa in the east by overthrow the terrorist group. Further to reduce the Syrian air force capability to be a factor in the region.
3 EXECUTION
3.1 Commander’s intent
- We are tasked to destroy the runways at Kuweires, Jirah, Tabqa to hinder the Syrian air force to mount any counterattack, or to be a factor in the Raqqa conflict.
- Take out the two bridges at ALPHA and BRAVO to hinder the terrorists to reinforce Raqqa.
- Work with JTAC assets in and around Raqqa to make it more easier for the opposition to take control of the town.
- Search and destroy the convoy traveling to Raqqa from Palmyra.
- Destroy the runway at Aleppo and any airdefence at the AFB.

3.3 Order of events
INDY will lift and established at Cap North (to relive the blue AI Cap). Cruise missile will take out the SA-6 at Aleppo and SA-5 Hama. This will clean the central part of Syria of any major SA systems. As soon we have confirmation (SMASH) that the area is clear FENRIS will disable the runways at Kuweires, Jirah and Tabqa. At the same time ARCTIC will move in to establish Cap South. HITMAN will take out two bridges at ALPHA and BRAVO to hinder the terrorists to reinforce Raqqa. BENDER and HAWG to work with friendly forces at Raqqa to reduce the enemy forces in the town. JESTER will search and destroy terrorist reinforcements traveling up from Palmyra area. CRIMSON to destroy the runway at Aleppo and any airdefense around the AFB. RAGE to provide security around Deir ez-Zor as our ground forces still are under numbered and awaiting reinforces.
