DESCRIPTION:RSVP: 2025-08-07– 19:30 (please sign-up asap though\, as it makes things easier to plan)\nActivity: Security/recon.\nTheatre: Syria\nModules: OH-58D\, AH-64\nPrerequisites: None \nWe will continue our security task in AO CHESTNUT against insurgents trying to destabilize Syria. \nSITUATION\nKiowas and Apaches has been posted to OUTPOST OAK in order to conduct security tasking of AO CHESTNUT. \nENEMY\nEnemy consist of insurgents in smaller or larger groups\, they tend to avoid larger built up areas\, staying either out in the terrain our outskirts of built up areas.\nWeapons consist of older tanks\, BMPs with Shilka and manpads as threath to air. Rumors of SA8 is out but no evidence yet. \nEnemy rocket artillery has been observed in CA9669 along with BMPs and T-55s. The enemy force seems to be guarded by SA-19 in unknown numbers. \nFRIENDLY\nNo friendly ground forces in the active part of the AO. Area of 10km out from OP OAK is patrolled by friendly forces and considered safe. \nMISSION\nLocate and destroy rocket artillery in CA9669 and any SA-15 thats located. \nLOGISTICS\nFARP at OP OAK\, no other replen available. \nCOMMAND/CONTROL\nFM 33.0 is package net for coordination between flights. \nGAMEPLAY\nRespawn is allowed in order to get as much training effect as possible. However if a bird goes down all other birds has to disengage and reform with the respawning bird before going back in against the threat. \nKNEEBOARD for this and future missions:

Sun set 2000. \nWe will continue our security task in AO CHESTNUT against militia trying to destabilize Syria. \nSITUATION\nLast thursday we destroyed BM-21 and SA-15 and thereby denied the milita units their indirect fire capability. The results are some pissed off militia who are set for retaliation. \nENEMY\nEnemy have been spotted gathering forces and preparing what is estimated to be a counter-attack towards OP OAK if unchecked.\nUnits consist of T-55 and BMP-2 in company size covered by shilka and SA-13 and SA-15 in CA96 dispersed around the village where we struck the BM-21. \nFRIENDLY\nNo friendly ground forces in the active part of the AO. Area of 10km out from OP OAK is patrolled by friendly forces and considered safe. \nMISSION\nLocate and destroy the armored formation in order to prevent possible attack on OP OAK. \nLOGISTICS\nFARP at OP OAK\, no other replen available. \nCOMMAND/CONTROL\nFM 33.0 is package net for coordination between flights. \nGAMEPLAY\nRespawn is allowed in order to get as much training effect as possible. QNH 29.92\nDaybreak 0640 (Mission start) \nWe will continue our security task in AO CHESTNUT against militia trying to destabilize Syria. \nSITUATION\nOur operations against the enemy is paying a heavy toll on the enemy ground forces. How ever this has also strenghtened the enemies determination to remove us from OP OAK. \nENEMY\nIntel states an enemy armor column  are advancing on MSR FOX and passed BRAVO heading for CHARLIE at this time. Most likely and most dangerous course of action are that they are heading for OP OAK.\nEnemy equiptment spotted are T-55\, BMP-2\, Shilka and technicals. \nFRIENDLY\nNo friendly ground forces in the active part of the AO.
