DESCRIPTION:Training Mission: IFR \nPlanned Training: \n1. F/A-18C\n– IFR \n2. F-16C\n– IFR \n3. F-14B\n– IFR \n4. AJS 37\n– IFR \n5. A-10C II\n– IFR \n6. AH-64D\n– IFR \n7. AWACS/ATC\n– IFR \n  \nInstrument Flight Rules (‘IFR’)\, simply put\, covers flying without visual references outside of the cockpit through the usage of various navigational aids\, such as TACAN & GPS. This week’s training session will be a focused exercise on IFR operations nearest the airfield\, meaning takeoffs and landings in low-visibility conditions. \nAircraft not capable of IFR operations are recommended to organise their own training on the secondary server due to the weather and lightning conditions. \nAgenda \n\nHow to aviate and navigate using solely the instruments. We’ll cover the generics that apply to all aircraft. We will not cover aircraft specific topics. Make sure you understand how to operate all necessary equipment (radios\, TACAN\, ILS etc) beforehand\nHow to read and interpret STAR and SID charts for airfield departures or landings.\nRadials & DME\n\n  \nThe event will begin with a quick theoretical session on IFR. This is not mandatory\, and meant for those who are uncertain of the basics\, such as interpreting an SID/STAR chart. The “usual” briefing will commence at 19:30. \nUnless otherwise requested\, all aircraft will remain in controlled airspace\, flying a route assigned by ATC. This route is meant to practice basic instrument flying. SUMMARY:Training Tuesday - Split Pop Attack
DESCRIPTION:What\n2-ship Split Pop Attack from multiple directions. Altitude deconfliction.\nWhy\nTo minimize exposure in areas where small arms\, AAA and MANPADS are present.\nWhom\nAny plane able to have bombs and speed of minimum 430knts. We split in 2 groups\, Alpha and Bravo. More details in briefing.\n\nHow\nIn flights of two\, we head towards the target area at high speed and low altitude. Once 5nm from the target\, each ship breaks 30 degrees in opposite direction from the target heading. When target is at the 4/8 o’clock position\, and on lead call\, pop-up and turn into the target. Altitude deconfliction applies. On release\, egress opposite ingress heading. At 5nm\, disengage heading 300 and fall back into the stack at your assigned altitude. If we get the flow going\, we should be able to go 4 rounds\, dropping 2x GBU-38 or 2x MK-82 each round. Feel free to switch side and bomb-type between the rounds.
