It occurred on October 3\, 2009\, when a force of 400 Taliban assaulted the American Combat Outpost (“COP”) Keating near the town of Kamdesh in Nuristan Province in eastern Afghanistan. The attack was the bloodiest battle for US forces since the Battle of Wanat in July 2008\, which occurred 20 miles (32 km) away from Kamdesh. The attack on COP Keating resulted in 8 Americans killed and 27 wounded while the Taliban suffered 150–200 wounded or killed.» \nMission maker has deliberated altering the event to better suit our mission format. \nhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Kamdesh\nand / or watch the movie “The outpost” \n1.2 Area of operations\nNorth east from Bagram around 45mn\, the area is a mountain terrain with deep valleys \n1.3 Time and weather\n* October 03 – 2009\n* 06:00 local time\n* Scattered (7500′-11500′)\n* Wind 025 / 6\n* FORCE QNH 2992 / 1013\n* Temp +20 deg (Celsius) \n1.4 Air threats\nNot relevante \n1.5 Ground threats\nZSU-23\, MANPADS\, RPG\, AK47/74 \n1.6 Friendly forces\nN/A\, we are the only blue forces in the AO. \n1.7 Civilian/3rd part\nInsurgents ordered all Kamdesh villagers to leave the area. \n2 MISSION\nSupport and hinder the insurgents to overrun and take over Combat Outpost Keating and Observation Post (“OP”) Fritsche. \n3 EXECUTION\n3.1 Commander’s intent\nDestroy all insurgents in and around Kamdesh. In the aftermath of the strike\, there were loud complaints from the usual suspects – Russia\, Cuba\, China and the Arab League. Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei went so far as to describe the attack as “terrorism”\, threatening to punish those responsible for “attacks against Islam”. \nDetermined to show resolve\, president Clinton ordered the US 5th fleet to conduct a freedom of navigation exercise in the Persian Gulf. Two days later\, on August 22nd\, Carrier Strike Group 11 lead by USS Theodore Roosevelt transited the Strait of Hormuz at full battle stations. As CENTCOM expected\, the Iranians eventually stood down and the strike group proceeded into the Gulf\, staying just outside Iran’s internationally recognized  territorial waters. \nBefore dawn on August 23rd\, with the strike group about to turn south toward Qatar\, a surprise strike was launched by the Iranians. A massive volley of Silkworm missiles overwhelmed the strike group’s air defenses\, damaging several ships including the Roosevelt herself which was rendered unable to conduct air operations. \nSimultaneous Shahab (Scud-B) missile strikes on airfields in Saudi\, Kuwait\, Qatar and UAE disabled most of the allied airfields in the region. \nRoosevelt and the rest of CSG 11 must now limp towards relative safety in Qatar\, with little friendly air cover. Meanwhile\, it is assumed the Iranians are reloading and repositioning their silkworm launchers for a second attack. One that would surely spell doom for the Carrier and indeed all of CSG-11. Adding insult to injury\, the Iranian Air Force is likely to launch sorties as soon as they realize the extent of the damage. \nRushing to the scene from the Arabian Sea is CSG 9\, led by USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). For most of the day\, they will be the only significant USN resource in the area. \nUSAF performed a quick strike on Tunb Island immediately after the attack on CSG-11 but were then stuck at Al Dhafra when the SCUDs hit. The Air Force is now preparing to mount a more significant air presence over the Gulf but most of the resources will have to be ferried long distances before they become available. CENTCOM estimates another 6 hours before full operational strength is achieved in the AO. Until then\, USAF will rely on a few squadrons based in Saudi Arabia and UAE. \n1.2 Area of operations\nPersian Gulf \n1.3 Time and weather\n* Aug 23 1998\n* 05:30 local time\n* SCT/BKN 18/20\n* Wind from 250 / 4\n* Temp 21°C\n* FORCE QNH 2992 / 1013 \n1.4 Air threats\nMiG-21\, MiG-29\, F-4E\, F-14A \nF-4E\, MiG-21 and MiG-29 based in Bandar Abbas\, Qeshm and Lavan. \nF4-E and F-14 based in Shiraz. \n1.5 Ground threats\nSA-10 Bandar Abbas. Hawk in Khasab (UAE). \n1.7 Civilian/3rd part\nCivilian air traffic is suspended over the AO. \n2 MISSION\nBring USS Theodore Roosevelt and the rest of Carrier Strike Group 11 to safety in Oman. \nNeutralize Iranian Silkworm launchers. \nPrevent the Iranian Air Force from interfering with our objectives. \nMaximize destruction of Iranian military units and installations. \n3 EXECUTION\n3.1 Commander’s intent\nTomahawk strikes will be aimed at major Iranian air bases known to house fighters. Supplies are limited and we expect that this will at most buy us 1-2 hours before repairs can be made. \nCSG-9 with USS Abraham Lincoln will transit from the Gulf of Oman through the Strait of Hormuz with the intention of conducting strikes on Iranian installations as well as providing air cover. \nUSAF will provide air cover for CSG-11 until CSG-9 is on station. \n3.2 Packages\nThe mission contains 3 packages\, callsign VULTURE (USAF fixed wing)\, JACKAL (rotary wing) and ORCA (USN fixed wing).\n \n3.3 Order of events\nStage 1 (from mission start 05:30 = 16.30 IRL): \nORCA sets up CAP focused on the Strait of Hormuz and conducts SEAD/DEAD (SA-10 Bandar Abbas and SA-2 Qeshm).\nJACKAL strikes Qeshm Island with focus on disabling aircraft on the ground.\nVULTURE sets up CAP focused on CSG-11\, currently west of Lavan Island\, and conducts SEAD/DEAD (SA-2 Lavan Island and SA-6 site NW of Lavan) \nStage 2 (from approx 08:00 = 19.00 IRL):\nORCA continues CAP mission\, expecting increasing opposition as IRAF air bases are repaired.\nVULTURE and JACKAL focus on finding and destroying Iranian Silkworm launchers. \nStage 3 (from approx 10:00 = 21.00 IRL):\nAll packages perform retaliatory strikes on Iranian air and naval bases. \nFor all flights: Each stage represents a potential respawn point\nVipers use Venom4 to respawn at Al Dhafra – flight has the same WP as Indy and Jester \n3.4 Rules of engagement\nROE: C\nAs per SPINS \n3.5 Acceptable level of risk\nALR: HIGH\nAs per SPINS \n3.6 Flight tasking\nPackage ORCA (Lead: ELVIS51)\nELVIS5 \n* Maintain CAP as directed by STINGRAY\n* During Phase 3 assist in Strike on Bandar Abbas if air picture allows \nLoadout: FL decides (no limit on # of AIM-54) \nWaypoints:\n1. The initial force seems to have been infiltrated by parachutes and under the impression of being a tourist. Later on\, heavy equipment must have passed the border from russia. Ongoing talks indicate the intention to protect the local russian speaking minority. Which is probably the worst excuse we’ve ever heard. We are sure that it is a test for NATOs article 5 and have warned the russians to not mess with our operations. Russia has denied any involvement on the group. We have declared a no-fly-zone over the area\, but flying into russia is not allowed\, neither are strikes / weapon employment on russian ground.\nFighters passing the border or acting aggressively will be shot down though. We still hope to resolve the problem by the use of excessive violence but without involving russia in it. Officially.\nThe mercenaries were stopped a few kilometers in front of Ivalo\, which probably was the intented target of the operation. The enemy has employed air defenses that seem to be SA-11\, but there is “everything you can find on any black market in rural Africa”. Probably even old-style Flak in terms of large caliber AAA. \nIvalo is under fire from rocket artillery from the northeast. \n1.2 Area of operations\nEast of Ivalo\, the area consists of forest. \n1.3 Time and weather\n* May 11 – 2025\n* 01:00 local time\n* Light Scattered (7500′-11500′)\n* Wind 248 / 10\n* 7 degrees Celsius\n* FORCE QNH 2912 \n1.4 Air threats\nMiG-29S\, Su-27\, MiG-31 \nRussian CAP in the area\, but over russian soil. Probably no factor. Insurgents have no suitable helicopter base. \n1.5 Ground threats\nYes. Unclear number of air defense units\, most forces seem to consist of mechanized infantry. \n1.6 Friendly forces\nSome tank groups east and northeast of Ivalo. It’s not much\, but it’s honest work. \n1.7 Civilian/3rd part\nSeveral houses\, especially in the small settlement of NELLIM in the north of the area\, near the road going into russia. Marked with a blue square in the map. \n2 MISSION\nFixed Wing: \nThe Joint Force Air Component (JFAC) has decided to get in a few recce flights to get a clearer picture. Main push will be a few Vipers to look up air defenses from Banak and Kittilä. If we can get a few finnish hornets from Kittilä then attacking the most prominent air defense installations is a bonus.\nThe mercenaries seem to be able to access civilian radars\, as they are pretty careful with their radars.\nUse of any ordnance is cleared\, no cluster munitions near civilian installations. Recommendation for loadout is HARM + some hard kill capacity like JSOW\nAvoid any SAM systems until position is known. It is recommended to proceed along the front line.\nHelicopters will be operating in the area along the road towards NELLIM to find artillery targeting IVALO. Be prepared to support with additional eyes or buddy lasing\, if necessary.\nMain focus is to locate as many AD units as possible\, bonus if they get destroyed. \nHelicopters: \nProceed along road R969 towards NELLIM. Important points are:\nOwn forces: 35 W NS 33256 22164\nLast contact: 35 W NS 40730 27065\nArtillery is most probably between\n35 W NS 42818 28921\n35 W NS 48193 34349\nalong road R969\, as there is forest next to the road and little room for army operations or hideouts. All waypoints are along the road 969 between Ivalo and Nellim\, so you basically follow that road.\nEarlier engagements faced T-90s\, BMPs and Infantry so expect some resistance along that road. If you need additional sensors\, the SEAD recon package in the area can surely help out. Contact STINGRAY in that case.\nIf you can’t reach the artillery but manage to weed out enemy units then the mission will still be a success. \n3 EXECUTION\n3.1 Commander’s intent\nLocate as many air defenses as possible. Get an overall picture and if possible\, locate the artillery. \n3.2 Packages\nNo package management. \n3.3 Order of events\nTakeoff from Kittilä or Banak (Ivalo for Helicopters\, if any)\, and then try to locate as many air defenses as possible. The use of weapons is authorized\, just keep it outside of russia if possible. A hard lock from a fighter justifies the usage of air-to-air ordnance\, also\, just passing the border or aggressive maneuvering counts as hostile act and is seen as a “weapons free”.\nThe target zone will be divided in a northern and a southern part. Northern part is done by KRAKEN 2 and INDY 9 (around STPT 2)\, southern part is done by BENDER 2 and JESTER 1 (around STPT 4). The Vipers go in 10nm before the Hornets and try to locate any system with HTS\, and the Hornets will attack any upcoming threat if possible\, and look after smoke plumes. Any intel gathered will be collected after the mission by TGP pictures in the squad server.\nImportant notice: Call out any missile launches (Fox 1\,2\,3\, Magnum) on CH3 before launching the missile to avoid triggering the helicopters missile warning system without prior notice. \nHelicopters have their own planning\, but will progress along road R969 towards NELLIM. If they should meet stiff resistance\, requesting help from the SEAD / recon package is recommended. \n3.4 Rules of engagement\nROE: C\nAs per SPINS \n3.5 Acceptable level of risk\nALR: MEDIUM\nAs per SPINS \n3.6 Flight tasking\nWaypoints\, fixed wing \n* 1 Kittilä or Banak (Home Airfield)\n* 2 NELLIM\n* 3 RAJA-JOOSEPPI border post\n* 4-8 Front line of troops for better visualization \nIntention is to scout the area inside of waypoints 2-8.\nSituation a few hours ago: \n \n  \nRAGE9 / BLACKJACK 4 \nScout northeast of Ivalo. \nLoadout: FL decides \nWaypoints:\n1. SUMMARY:Master Meet - Juli 2025
DESCRIPTION:!OBS! \n

SUMMARY:Battle of Goudi bridge
DESCRIPTION:  \nBriefing – Battle of Goudi bridge \nRed forces are advancing south from the town of Polis towards the bridge just south of the town Goudi (North Bridge) .  Blue objective is to stop the enemy advance and prevent them from crossing the north bridge (study kneeboard maps) .  It is likely the defense will fail due to superior enemy numbers including MBT´s. Blue forces have only light armored vehicles and a single Bradley with ATGM at disposal.  Should the enemy cross the bridge next objective is to defend the south bridge located 450m from the North bridge. The terrain will force the enemy vehicles to advance slowly on the road in this area \nWe have limited recon available.  A company of T72 and IFV´s heading south have been observed on the road near the town of Polis along with mobile heavy artillery and AA units. A SA 8 vehicle has also been observed.  We have no SEAD strike groups available. The hilly terain will provide cover for low flying aircraft\, however it is recommended to seek and destroy the SA 8 to enable freedom of movement on the battlefield. Forward deployed JTAC may be helpful to located the SAM threat. \nReinforcements are on the way on the MSR from the south\, the force is limited in numbers and AH 64 flights need to decimate the enemy to ensure victory. ETA of reinforcements is approximately one hour. \nA field hospital/FARP has been set up 6km to the south of bullseye (Northern bridge) in the town of Yioloy.  Nitro 5 and Yoda 7 is tasked with medivac\, expect heavy casualties\, and synchronize with Rage 9 for fire support (Ah 64 flight). Rage 9 is likely to be busy attacking enemy armor so expect limited support. Field hospital /FARP has an active ADF beacon to assist in navigation on 420 khz. \nA SEAL team may be deployed to destroy south bridge nr 2 located a further 1000m south. This is a last resort decision if the enemy does not seem to be stoppable.  Huey flights Nitro 5 and Yoda 7 will be available to transport the SEAL team in this event. The SEAL team will only be available after the enemy has taken control of the North bridge and will be deployed at the feildhospital/FARP for helicopter embarkment. \nUpdate* Airborne ranger team is on standby near the fieldhosptital/FARP. They are located 100m west of the field hospital tents and LZ is on the road next to them to not overcrowd the field hospital limited LZ. They will seek and destroy enemy infantry and should be deployed only on flight commands order.  They have no anti armor capability so should only be deployed against enemy infantry. \nUpdate*  A JTAC group is located at field hospital/FARP.  Huey should pick them up and disembark according to knee board map. Disembark just south of the hill\, in cover from enemy fire. A helicopter has crashed in the area and is on fire\, use this as landmark.  The JTAC will move by foot to a position on top of the hill and try to locate and lase AA units and SAM. JTAC has a laser range of around 5km\, wait for condition 2. If not in laser range just contact again later\, when in range they will lase.   Communicate with JTAC via radio menu. JTAC is on FM 30 MHZ. \nMission goals\n \n\nPrimary objective – Prevent red forces from crossing the northern bridge\, locate and destroy enemy artillery and air defenses. Huey flights to deploy JTAC group at frontline and run medivac.\nSecondary objective –  In the case the enemy gains control of the bridges stall the advance until our reinforcements have arrived. In last resort blow up south bridge nr2 using the SEAL team to prevent further enemy advancement.\n\n\n  \nAdditional information \nKneeboards will be included in mission. \nAvailable aircraft \n4 slots of AH 64 D\n2 slots of Huey uh-1 in separate flights\n2 slots of A 10 \nFlights organized as per standard SOP: \nStart time 06.30 local time\nWeather calm \n  \n————————————————————————————————————————– \nGuide to CSAR missions.  \nUse the radio menu and chose f10 other then CSAR mission and list active missions.  When you get close they will pop smoke and they will be located near the front line. If you hover above the injured winching will start\, takes 20 seconds.  You can also land nearby and they will automatically be picked up. Return the injured to the field hospital\, if you are to slow he may bleed out\, check status on injured in CSAR menu.\nIn the event of a blue player ejecting you may see a CSAR mission to pick up the pilot if he survived\, prioritise this before any other injured.  The ADF beacons does not seem  to work (please try though)  so you will have to work on distance and course to find

The enemy is now only occupying northern Tunisia. Still\, we must not let them grab hold. During yesterday’s offensive\, our ground forces managed to push the hun up\, over\, and into the valley running from Kirikhan to Nurdagi. Now we want to limit their ability to resupply and therefore drive them further back. \nSpitfire pilots\, get ready for some rhubarb action low in the southern part of the valley. Targets may be\, transport convoys\, logistics outposts\, and defensive positions. Weapons are completely free in the valley\, but remember our troops in the hills to the west. So keep clear of them. \nGomer flight\, your primary target is an improvised logistics/railroad station located somewhere along the railroad running north. If ammunition is left after a potential attack you may join the Spitfires in the search for targets of opportunity\, if that is the case search north along the railroad\, it is known to be used on the daily. \nStangs are tasked with air patrol NW of the valley\, along the mountains. SUMMARY:Operation Scrambled legs
DESCRIPTION:On September 28th\, the pilots of MASTER ARMS decided to start Operation Scrambled legs. The goal of the operation is to increase the pilot’s stamina and ensure that the handful of men who graduate can withstand extreme the g-forces of their office chairs. \nOperation scrambled legs is a four-week operation where the participating pilots will do their best to run 10 km or 5 km and improve their times. On October the second\, the pilots will do a final test to see their improvements over the course. \nWeek 1\nSep 5 first test\, 10 km or 5 km\nGoogle forms test 1:https://forms.gle/E3ZFfFe87PEq6tjh6 \nWeek 4\nOct 2 final test\, 10 km or 5 km\nGoogle forms test 2:https://forms.gle/fFip8Tw4muMJ8cVF7 \nTips:\n1. Stay hydrated.\n2. Start the run slowly and increase the speed over time or just keep a consistent speed.\n3. Don’t run every day at first because it can result in injuries if you are not used to running.\n4. Do warmups and cooldowns to reduce the risk of injuries.\n3. Do high-intensity interval training (HIIT) for better stamina. \nRules:\nThe run can be either 5 or 10 km. If you want to you can also record the run on either Strava or Runkeeper.\nWhen you have finished the test you self-report the test on google forms above.\nHave fun and good luck!

During the last weeks of negotiations they have reinforced heavily with more AAA and manpads. A small taskforce of F/A-18\, F-16C\, AH-64 from MA have been tasked to level all opposition at the four locations. Limit force to the four locations as the Israelis only have cleared an area of 4 km around the mountain. \n \nEnemy Forces\nThe enemy forces consist of armed APC\, tanks and infantry. Expect heavy resistance as we have information that the group is well armed with Igla systems. Other large caliber air defense systems can be expected\, so plan accordingly. \nOur Forces\nConsisting of F/A-18C\, F-16C and AH-64. The F/A-18 is station on the aircraft carrier CV76 just outside the coast and the F-16 are located at Ramat David and the AH-64 at Kiryat Shmona. Your flight lead will decide the appropriate loadout for the mission. \nOverall task\nWe need to reduce the enemy forces and the air-to-air threat to help the Israeli special forces who will arrive to the targets by three helicopters taking off from Naqoura at around 07:00 local time. SUMMARY:MasterMeet Fly-in 2021
DESCRIPTION:Starttid / (Sluttid)\nSommaren 2021\nSista tid anmälan.\n–\nTyp av verksamhet:\n-Korvgrillnig\, femkamp & nördsnack.\nVersion + Moduler:\n-Verkliga livet 2.7 + Sverige kartan\, valfri modul.\nFörkunskapskrav:\n–\nNödvändigheter:\nTeamspeak 64-bit (LADDA NER)\nDCS-SimpleRadioStandalone (LADDA NER)(INFO)\nÖvrigt:\n– \n  \nTjoflöjt!
